How to Lose Weight and Still Eat Your Favorite Food

Walking is the cheapest but best form of exercise. Take a leisurely walk for about 30 minutes everyday. You will be burning unwanted calories as well as toning your lower body in the process. Apart from losing weight, walking provides a fun and pleasurable way to keep fit. You can meet friends and neighbors along the road and be greeted with smiles of encouragement. Imagine the excitement you get when you see jabbering squirrels or colorful flowers along your wooded path. You can be at one with nature through walking.

 

If you have a stationary exercise bike at home, then use it for about 10 minutes until you can work yourself up to 20 minutes. Stationary bikes are great for strengthening the leg muscles and buttocks, and will build stamina and endurance. If a stationary bike is not available, you can purchase a portable mini-cycle that you can use anywhere you go.

 

Use the stairs instead of taking the elevator. This is a terrific way to lose extra weight while exerting only a minimum of effort. The few extra steps that you take every chance you have can add up to miles in terms of losing weight. Park your car about a block or two away and walk to the supermarket the next time you go shopping. Walk to your destination instead of parking your car in front of it.

 

You don’t actually have to avoid all your favorite food. You should, however, consume them in moderation and don’t go on an eating binge. No food can ever keep you from losing weight as long as you eat the right amount, unless otherwise eaten in excess.

 

For example, just limit your consumption to one Snicker bar or, if you’re really serious on losing weight, a piece of chocolate Kisses. You can have all the food you want to eat and still lose weight as long as you don’t overeat. That’s the keyword – overeat.

 

Do your exercise routine at the same time everyday. Setting your daily exercise at a fixed time will make you stick to it and get results unlike those who exercise only when they have available time. The key to successful weight loss is to always do it on time.
